I Think I'm Certain, I Think

“In one hour, I will shift how you think. In one day, I will shift how your board thinks. From that point, the organisation’s future state becomes clearer, decisions begin to unlock, and culture starts to move towards its purpose.”

I Think Im Certain I Think

Anti patterns are not loud failures. They are the behaviours that look responsible on the surface and quietly stall progress underneath. They undermine the very objective they appear to serve. They go unrecognised because they feel familiar, safe even. They go unchallenged because no one wants to be the person who disrupts apparent alignment.

They surface when cognitive load is high and the cost of a wrong decision feels heavier than the cost of no decision. Boards slow down, leaders wait for more data, decisions are outsourced with no accountability and circle the boardroom from one quarter to the next.

What sustains the loop is bias operating out of view. Bias is not poor judgement. It is the brain conserving energy under pressure, relying on familiar shortcuts to reduce uncertainty. Group think smooths disagreement to protect cohesion. Sunk cost fallacy defends yesterday’s investment to avoid loss. Status quo bias rewards stillness because change feels risky. Over time, these invisible shortcuts harden into patterns of behaviour that feel rational, even when they quietly block progress.

The result is a quiet cycle. Thinking narrows. Progress stalls. Confidence erodes. The cost shows up later as missed windows, diluted strategy, and decisions made under pressure instead of choice.

I recognise these patterns early. I surface them without blame. And I create the conditions where thinking resets and movement becomes possible again.

“In one hour, I will shift how you think.
In one day, I will shift how your board thinks.
From that point, the organisation’s future state becomes clearer, decisions begin to unlock, and culture starts to move towards its purpose.”

Are you ready to experience this shift?
